Went for my first-ever manicure and discovered how nice it is to have my hands professionally tended to; cuticles trimmed, nails cut, filed, AND buffed…what’s next? Oh, a hand massage? Say less. From the moment I walked into Chavelas Nails I was greeted with a warm smile and a cozy atmosphere. The owner Leticia is friendly and professional and does a great job and I am impressed with her attention to hygiene and cleanliness. As a man, I'm not used to getting a manicure, although I've heard that it is a good thing to do. The word from those who know is that getting your hands done makes a difference in a man's overall appearance. Well, I like to look as good as I can so I decided to give it a try...and boy, I was pleasantly surprised at the experience and the outcome.
I made an appointment with and was greeted by Leticia. I told her that this was my first time getting a manicure and she made me feel comfortable in this new (for me) space. She let me know what to expect and helped me feel at ease in the chair. I don't know a lot about getting my nails done but I know good service when I get it. Her space was clean, organized, and her attention to detailed service was spot-on. Her tools were clean and she gave me the file and buffer as a parting gift. I haven't used them because I have no idea what to do with them but I liked the idea that she didn't use them on somebody else before (or after) me; I've heard so many horror stories from my sisters about dirty nail salon practices.
Anyway, she took good care of my hands and had them looking good and feeling refreshed in no time. I can certainly see why taking care of my hands improves my overall appearance. Like the old saying goes, "when you look good, you feel good." I might just try getting my feet taken care of next! Who knows?! Thanks, Leticia!
